A: Accidents happen. Spills, kids, pets all play havoc with carpets, rugs, chairs and sofas.
Don't panic - just remember: different stains require different treatments. Remove excess solids carefully, mop liquids with plain white paper towels and call us for advice. NB, this does not apply to spills such as nail varnish which you shouldn't touch (see our Blog page).
Q: Should I use shop bought stain removers and carpet shampoos?
A: Please don't - you could make things worse!
Over the counter products can have a bleaching effect on your carpet. It may initially appear cleaner. However, these products sometimes leave an invisible, sticky residue. Over time, this can attract dust and dirt, resulting in grubby stains on your carpet which can be tricky to remove. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESIST THE TEMPTATION!
